DoNanza, the leading freelance projects and work-from-home search engine released its Q1 2011 Market Trends Report Analyzing the Rivalry between E-Commerce Platforms in the SMB Space. The report disclosed interesting details about the market of E-Commerce and the rivals within it.
DoNanza data revealed that in the first quarter of this year there was a 27 percent boost in the overall number of E-Commerce open source projects. E-Commerce platforms are utilized to support and develop the E-Commerce requirements of online traders.

Demand of E-Commerce Developer Keeps Increasing

Virtuemart and Prestashop also experienced explosive increase, at 41% and 53%. “During the last year, we've seen project demand expanding from US-based projects to Europe and Japan”, stated Kotzer. “In Europe, the United Kingdom has the most E-Commerce projects and Germany has the highest growth rate for e-commerce projects,” Kotzer added.
