Launched in May new Beta SilveOS is still a bit rough, but it is an interesting project to see if you are following the adoption and growth of Web-based computer systems in both the enterprise and consumer spaces.
Navigate to SilveOS.com will introduce a Silverlight 4-based desktop browser, and various Web applications that are started in the Silverlight security sandbox, the main quality of this project.
These applications include a file browser, a recursive web browser, YouTube viewer, and video player, text editor, RSS reader, various games, chat, calculator, paint, and more. The system holds the installation of more application packages Silverlight (XAP) to the web desktop from other sites via the Internet or the user's local machine.
Unlike others, and even webtops ChromeOS, SilveOS not try to do strange things, and created an atmosphere that looks almost exactly as expected a GNOME-based Linux distribution to watch, and the ability to connect, either as a client or a saved ID, users can save their preference and storage in the cloud from session to session, or just use it as a mostly unknown terminal.
